  • How long does it take until I feel and see results?

  • How is Posture Therapy different from Chiro, PT, Rolfing, Massage, etc?

Posture therapy helps to get to the root cause of your symptoms. The body is treated as a whole, instead of just the symptom area. There is no hands on therapy or manipulation instead, Vita will teach you how to use your muscles to get the joints to move back into alignment. You will rely on your own muscle memory and help retrain it. This will give a long term result since your muscles are re-learning the movements.

  • Can I still see my chiropractor, physical therapist, massage therapist, or other health practitioner while doing Posture Therapy?

Yes, Posture Therapy can be used in conjunction with many different healing modalities. The ultimate goal is to return control of your health back to your hands so that you aren’t dependent on another person or machine to achieve an optimal state of health. Posture Therapy’s “hands off” approach educates you on what you need to do to fix yourself.

  • Is Posture Therapy different than yoga or Pilates?

Yes. It is a specifically tailored set of exercises designed to eliminate your structural dysfunctions that are causing your pain. The majority of yoga and Pilates classes are group-based where everyone in the class is asked to do the same exercises, poses, or moves. Posture Therapy fosters a client-driven therapy experience where you and your therapist work together to develop your exercise menu, taking only what your body is able to functionally give on that day.

  • How long does it take to finish my therapy?

Most clients need somewhere between 8 and 16 visits to see results. Keep in mind that we are working to eliminate structural dysfunctions that have been decades in the making.

  • Is Posture Therapy covered by insurance?

Being alternative, it is not directly covered by insurance. However, many clients have had success getting reimbursed from their insurance provider for at least a portion of what they pay. Posture Solutions Therapy will do everything possible to help— by providing a letter of explanation, posture photos, etc.—to help you with the reimbursement process. Most clientele are able to use their health savings account or flexible spending account to pay for Posture Therapy.
